 Project Progression

Excavation — takes place after perc tests are complete. Perc tests determine what type of septic system your site requires and where it must be located. Once this is done you can locate where the house will sit.   excavation

Foundation — This particular home was built on a “slab at grade”. With in-floor hydronic radiant heat.   foundation

Frame-up — In a couple days your home begins to take shape.   frame up

Trusses — Set in one morning, half the roof sheathing in place by that same afternoon.   trusses

Weatherized — Roof sheathing is in place and protected from the weather. Now it’s time to finish the interior framing in order for subcontractors to come and rough-in their portions of the project.   weatherized

Roof Covering — is installed as soon as possible. Homes with full basements would have the concrete floor in the basement poured at this point.   roof covering

Power — trenched in to your home by the power company.   power

Windows & Doors — Things are really moving along nicely from Frame-up to Windows 15 days have passed.   windows & doors

Insulation — This system provides for a better insulated exterior wall. Keeping your home warmer & cooler easier. Walls insulated with this system have been rated at an R-23. The ceiling will also have blown insulation installed, R-60.   insulation

Air Sealing — Careful attention is given to all areas of your home. Caulk and insulating foam are used to seal up gaps and holes that have been made during the rough-in of electrical, plumbing and heating equipment.   air sealing

Drywall — After the insulation inspection is complete everything is ready to be covered up. Bring in the drywall.   drywall

Well — It may take a day or a week, when their done you’ll have water for your home.   well

Drywall — Tape and mud are in place.   drywall

Siding & Soffit — Moving to the exterior, now the siding is installed. Many options of type, style, and color. The combinations are endless.   siding

Drywall — Finished and Painted. Top coat of paint can be sprayed on at this point or you can have each room painted the color you prefer. This is the point where, research has shown, most homeowners begin to panic. Possibly loosing faith in their contractor. THIS IS NORMAL. Things seem to slow to a standstill as the drywall is being finished. However, take heart, we get rolling again as soon as the paint dries.   drywall
